2 building workers killed as jeep collides with bike

Two construction workers were killed Tuesday when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a speeding jeep coming in the opposition direction near here, police said.

Azhagiri (53) died on the spot while Shaktivel (44) succumbed on the way to hospital, the police said.

The two were proceeding to work when the accident occurred, they said.

The driver of the jeep Arun has been arrested, they added.
