2 held for killing blackbuck in UP

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly poaching a blackbuck in Izzatnagar area here, forest official said.

The incident occured last evening in Kemudiya Ahmad Nagar village, when four persons allegedly shot the blackbuck and slit its throat, forest conservator incharge Ram Prakash said.

The accused have been identified as Shabban and Babli, he said, adding efforts are on to nab the other two absconders.

The post-mortem of the animal has been conducted.
