2 inmates attempt suicide in jail

Two inmates allegedly tried to commit suicide in the prison premises here, police said today.

The prisoners identified as Sarbjeet Singh of Moga and Gora alias Gamdoor Singh of Muktsar tried to commit suicide last night but were saved by the prison authorities, they said.

Both the inmates were undergoing ten years imprisonment under the Narcotic Drugs Act, 1985 in different cases, said police.
