2 killed as truck hits two-wheeler
A truck hit a two-wheeler on an express highway in Jajpur district killing two persons, the police said today.
The victims were identified as Manguli Moharana (48) and Jagabandhu Mahanta (30) of Baliapal village.
The two persons were returning home from Kalinga Nagar on the motor-cycle when the truck hit the two-wheeler from the rear on Kalinga Nagar-Daitary Express Highway yesterday, the police said.
The police seized the truck and sent the bodies to the Danagadi hospital for post-mortem.
The driver and helper of the truck fled the spot soon after the mishap, the police said.
