A special court today awarded life term to 22 people in connection with a double murder case at Mohalla Chebra of Amroha in 2011.
According to the prosecution, two persons were killed and three injured in an incident of firing on September 24, 2011 over a land dispute.
Senior prosecutor Raj Bahadur Singh said a panchayat was held to solve the land dispute at the house of deceased in the mohalla when the firing incident took place.

The deceased and the accused were relatives and the land dispute was the cause of the incident, he said.
Two juvenile accused were sent to the juvenile court.
