At least 25 persons were taken ill after eating wild fruits in a village under Sadar block of Bihar's Jehanabad district today, an official said.
The incident occurred in Mokar village when scores of people on their way home after harvesting pulses plucked wild fruits from a field and ate them, SDO (Sadar) Nawal Kishore Chaudhary said.
Of them, at least 25 took ill with some of them losing consciousness.
Two ambulances from Sadar hospital have been sent to the village to fetch the ailing people, Chaudhary said.
Local police officers have also left for the village for supervision.
