A 13-year-old girl of Mandola village was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man here, police said today.
SHO Tronica city police station, Sheelesh Yadav said that the accused, a driver identified as Sachin, lured the girl to his house last evening on the pretext of training her for driving and allegedly raped here there.
After returning to her home, the victim narrated the incident to her parents and based on a complaint filed by her father, police arrested the accused.
The victim was sent to government hospital for medical examination, the officer said adding the accused has been sent to jail under section 376 IPC (punishment for rape) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
