3 killed in 3 separate road accidents in Nadia district

Three persons including a seven-year-old-girl were killed and as many injured in three separate road accidents in West Bengal's Nadia district, police said on Tuesday.

One person was killed two others were injured when a motorcycle collided with a truck on the NH 34 at Bara Jaguli in the district on Tuesday morning, the police said.

The three were returning to Kalyani after watching Kali puja at Barasat in neighbouring North 24 Parganas district when the mishap took place, the police said.

The two injured have been admitted to Kalyani JNM Hospital.

In another incident, a seven-year-old girl was killed when a speeding motorcycle hit her at Iswaripur Bazar here. She was rushed to Kalyani JNM Hospital but doctors declared her brought dead, the police said.

 

The girl, a resident of neighbouring Hooghly district had come to her cousin's house here on the occasion of 'bhai phonta', they added.

One person was killed and another was injured when a speeding motorcycle hit an electric police at Madanpur area of Nadia district on Monday night, the police said.
