300 grams heroin seized, 3 arrested

Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested along with 300 grams of heroin worth Rs 50 lakh in street market from Karhera village in the district, police said today.

The accused identified as Laxman Singh, Suresh Chand and Vivek Gaur have been booked under relevant provisions of NDPS Act, SHO Sahibabad Haridayal Singh Yadav said.

Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted the car in which the accused were travelling to supply the consignment and recovered 300 grams of heroin from their possession.

An FIR has been registered and the three have been sent to jail, SHO Yadav said.
