4 held with 110 buffaloes in UP

Four persons here have been arrested on charges of cruelty to animals while they were taking 110 buffaloes in trucks allegedly to a slaughter house, police said today.

The accused were held yesterday Kotwali Jaithera police circle while they were carrying 110 buffaloes in 10 trucks to a slaughter house in Aligarh from Kayamgunj here, police said.

Those arrested have been challaned under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, they added.
