4 injured in blast in northwest Pakistan

A senior government official was among four persons injured today in an IED blast in the restive Khyber Pakthunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan.

Kurram Agency's Political Agent Riaz Mehsud's vehicle was hit by a remote controlled IED in Thall area of Hangu district.

Mehsud, Assistant Political Agent tehsil Alizai Akbar Khan, two political tehsildars Naeem Khan and Fazle Qadar suffered minor injuries.

They were traveling in the same vehicle and were moving towards Kurarm agency from Hangu district.
