4 killed, 13 injured as bus falls into gorge in U'khand

Four persons, including two women and a minor girl were killed and 13 others injured when the bus they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district today, police said.

The mishap took place at Pursari area between Nandprayag and Chamoli this afternoon when the bus coming from Karnaprayag fell into a 50-metre deep gorge, killing four persons on the spot, they said.

The bodies of the deceased have been recovered while the injured have been admitted to a hospital in Gopeshwar, police said.

Further investigations into the matter are underway, they added.
