40-year-old woman raped in district women hospital in UP

A 40-year-old woman was allegedly raped in a district women's hospital by the son of a cleaner epmloyed there, police said here today.

The woman, said to be mentally disturbed, was admitted to the hospital where she was raped last night by the accused, ASP (east) Gyananjay Singh said.

The accused was arrested after people caught him in the act and handed him over to police.

The woman, who is in a serious condition, has been referred to Lucknow for a medical examination, he added.
