49 gold biscuits seized in Mizoram

Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized 49 gold biscuits from here and arrested a Myanmarese in this connection, officials today said.

The gold biscuits worth around Rs 2.58 crore were smuggled from Myanmar and seized from here last night, DRI officials said.

A man from Myanmar from whose possession those were found was arrested.

The officials also seized Rs 29,000 and 45,000 Kyats (Myanmar currency) in cash from the accused.
