5 killed, 8 injured in car crash in UP

Five persons were today killed and eight injured when a car collided with a van near Parokh village here, police said.

The incident took place at about 9 am. Five persons including a woman and drivers of both the vehicles were killed on the spot, they said.

Eight injured including a 12-year-old child have been rushed to the district hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical.

Those killed have not yet been identified.
