51 gm heroin seized, 2 held

department's Anti Narcotic Squad seized 51 grams of heroin at Durtlang near Aizawl and arrested two persons in this connection.

The Department spokesman said the contraband, worth around Rs 2.55 lakh in the local market and suspected to be smuggled from Myanmar through Champhai district, was seized yesterday.

Lalmuanpuia (23) and Zoramdinpuia (27), both residents of Mizoram-Myanmar border Champhai town were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
