In a major reshuffle, as many as 54 IPS officers in the state have been transferred or given additional charges.
Subrata Kumar Mitra, who was the DIG, Presidency Range was made the Commissioner of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate in the rank of the DIG replacing Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri who was made the DIG Headquarters of the state, a senior official at Nabanna said.
DIG CID Bharat Lal Meena was made the DIG, Presidency Range, he said.
SP Purulia Rupesh Kumar was transferred DC DD Special of Kolkata Police, Joy Biswas DC DD Special of the Force replaced him, he said.
