Six persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court today for murdering a 52-year-old man in 2008.
Additional District Judge (ADJ) Girish Agarawal sentenced and convicted Jugraj, Devraj, Devlal, Heral Lal, Bhojraj and Jodhraj, all of Gurjjar community, and also slapped a fine of Rs 22,000 on each of them.
Ramratan Gurjjar of Daveriya village was attacked by the six with sticks and sharp-edged weapons in August, 2008. He succumbed to the injuries three days after the attack.
A case of murder was registered against the six in Talera police station of the district.
