Industrialist and Tirupur Exporters Association president A Sakthivel has been elected as the chairman of Federation of Indian Export Organisation, Southern Region.
"Sakthivel has been elected unanimously as chairman of FIEO, Southern Region. He had served FIEO as its president and also as regional chairman in the past", FIEO said in a release.
A recipient of Padma Shri in 2009, Sakthivel also served as chairman of Apparel Export Promotion Council, it added.
