AAP activists heckled during membership drive, stage dharna

Aam Aadmi Party activists staged a dharna near the Assembly complex here today after some of its supporters were heckled during a membership drive.
A group of four AAP activists were on a membership drive near the Vidhansabha where several educational institutes are situated. "As we were speaking to the students, some locals and a shopkeeper came and misbehaved with us," Vaishakh, a young AAP activist, said.
"They opposed the membership drive and pushed us asking to leave the area," he added.

As the news spread, more than 20 AAP workers reached the spot and began a dharna.
"We suspect that BJP workers misbehaved with AAP activists," party spokesperson Mulkraj said.
BJP, however, rejected the allegations and said no party worker was present at the spot.
An FIR against one Jitendra Dhariwal had been lodged by AAP workers at Jyoti Nagar police station, police said.
