Press Trust of India Bhubaneswar
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that action would be taken against those involved in the vandalism at the official residence of his private secretary V K Pandian.

Patnaik gave the assurance to the government employees organisations when they met him during the day.

"Associations from all over the state have given me petitions regarding the unfortunate incident. Appropriate action will be taken," Patnaik told reporters.

The associations also urged him to take steps to avoid reoccurrences of such incident in future.

They alleged that a group of miscreants holding BJP flag had barged into the official residence of Pandian and damaged flower pots and vehicles parked inside the quarters on Saturday last.

The miscreants also hurled cow dungs and stones at his residence, they alleged.

The police have arrested four persons in this connection.
