Top officials of the Manila-based Asian Development Bank today called on Nepal's Finance Minister and discussed the country's needs and challenges it faced in sustaining high economic growth.
During the meeting with Ram Sharan Mahat, the Executive Directors of the ADB also commended the progress made towards political stability.
"They also discussed the ways to achieve and sustain higher economic growth and job creation with effective use of external assistance, and to achieve the longer term goal of poverty reduction," ADB Nepal Mission said in a statement.

A delegation from the ADB Board of Directors, including Executives Directors Mario Sander and Maliami Bin Hamad, is currently on a six-day official visit to Nepal.
During the visit, the delegation "expects to gain greater understanding of Nepal's development needs and challenges, become better acquainted with ADB's activities in Nepal and observe the impact of ADB's assistance".
The ADB Board delegation also met Vice Chairperson and members of the National Planning Commission and other senior government officials.
The delegation will visit various ADB-assisted projects in Kathmandu, Melamchi and Lumbini.
