Advocates observe strike, block traffic on GT Road

Local advocates observed a strike demanding arrest of four persons who had allegedly thrashed one of their colleagues last evening.

Satvir Singh Gill was allegedly beaten up by Kohenoor Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Aman and Jaspreet, police said.

They added the agitators blocked traffic going toward Ferozepur, Ludhiana and Jalandhar on the GT road, and also staged a dharna in front of a police station.

Advocates claimed that the police was protecting the accused persons.
