Ailing woman among two persons killed in road accident

The mishap occured as an ambulance carrying the ailing woman and her three attendents collided head on with a trailer near Ekauna village, sources said.

The woman, identified as Imaman Khatun (55) and Aas Mohammad (50), died on the spot, while two others, Md. Karimullah and Chand Alam, sustained injuries, they said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured admitted to a hospital for treatment, the sources said.

The ambulance was carrying the woman with three attendents from Burnpur in West Bengal to her native village in Bariarpur where she was supposed to stay for sometimes to recuperate from illness, they said.
