AIPMT aspirant from Bihar commits suicide

An 18-year-old AIPMT aspirant from Bihar allegedly committed suicide in Talwandi area of the city, police said today.

Siddharth Choudhary, who was a resident of Bihar, ended his life last night by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his rented room, Jawaharnagar Police Station in-charge Suraj Singh said.

The deceased was taking tuition for All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) at a noted coaching institute here, he said.

According to his classmates, Siddharth was under depression due to poor his performance in routine tests and stress of studies.

His body was recovered from his room this morning, Singh said, adding no suicide note was found from the spot.
 

The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Sidhart's parents have been informed about the incident and they would arrive here tomorrow, here said.

The matter is currently lodged under section 174 of CrPC and investigation into it is underway, Singh added.

It is the second such incident in this coaching hub with in a fortnight. On October 2, another AIPMT aspirant Tarachand (17) from Pali district has committed suicide in Mahaveernagar area here.
