Mentha oil prices moved down by 0.51 per cent to Rs 850 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions, triggered by adequate stocks at spot market on supplies from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell Rs 4.40, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 850 per kg, in a business turnover of 217 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month May traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 859 per kg in 56 lots.
The fall in mentha futures was mostly due to sufficient stocks position against muted demand from consuming industries in the spot market, analysts said.
