Amtek Auto falls 4 pc as Q2 net loss widens

Shares of Amtek Auto plunged nearly 4 per cent on bourses today after the company reported a net loss of Rs 755.18 crore for the quarter ended on September 30, 2016.

On BSE, the scrip opened at Rs 36.10 and plunged 5.71 per cent to intra-day low of 35.50. It finally settled at Rs 36.15, down 3.98 per cent from previous close.

A similar movement was seen on NSE, where the stock opened at Rs 36.25 and declined 6.76 per cent to touch intra-day low of Rs 35.15. At the end of today's trading session, the scrip was quoted 3.71 per cent down at Rs 36.30.
 

Yesterday, Amtek Auto reported a standalone net loss of Rs 755.18 crore for the July-September quarter against that of Rs 158.62 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Total income decreased to Rs 498.92 crore in the period under review from Rs 833.83 crore in the same period a year ago.
