The Union Tourism Ministry has sanctioned an amount of Rs 46.14 crore for the development of famous Sree Krishna temple at Guruvayur.
The amount sanctioned under the "Prasadam", a Central government tourism promotion scheme, was for improving the infrastructure facilities of the temple, a release said here today.
The projects would be implemented by the Kerala Tourism Infrastructure Ltd.
BJP Kerala unit President Kommanom Rajasekharan thanked the Union Tourism Minister for sanctioning the fund for the development of Guruvayour temple.
