East Godavari District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) M Francis said here today that a Working Journalists' Health Scheme on the lines of the Employees' Health Scheme would be implemented by the Andhra Pradesh state government in the district.
Addressing reporters in Kakinada, he said that the scheme would enable journalists to get health benefits on par with state government employees.
He said that initially, the scheme would be applicable to accredited journalists and their family members.
Journalists should enroll along with particulars of their Aadhar card and family details, based on which they would be given an identification number, he said.
