Assam Governor wishes people on the occasion of Diwali

Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit today extended his best wishes to the people of Assam for a joyous and peaceful Kali Puja and Diwali.

"Diwali the festival of lights removing all darkness and disparities should act as a catalyst for unity and development of Assam", the Governor said in a message here.

He also urged people to work together to make Assam cleaner and greener and celebrate a pollution free Diwali. The Governor also added,

"Diwali symbolises victory of good over evil and so let us on this occasion join together to celebrate the triumph of wisdom over ignorance and good over evil", he said.
