Base metals recover on renewed demand

Most of the base metals including copper, tin, nickel, lead and zinc rebounded at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists buying amid renewed demand from industrial users.

Nickel shot-up by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 730 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 715.

Tin rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,325 from Rs 1,315.

Copper cable scrap, Copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar jumped by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 387, Rs 382 and Rs 415 as against Rs 383, Rs 382 and Rs 415, respectively.

Copper armiture and copper sheet cutting gained by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 373 and Rs 366 as against Rs 370 and Rs 363 yesterday.
 

Zinc moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 168 from Rs 166.

Copper utensils scrap and lead inched by a Re per kg each to Rs 346 and Rs 136.
