Bear carcass found

A bear carcass was recovered from NH-26 by forest personnel near Kundraguda in Koraput district of Odisha, officials said today.

"The carcass was spotted yesterday on NH-26. We suspect the bear died after being hit by a heavy vehicle while crossing the national highway," said forest range officer (Borigumma), Ram Chandra Nepak.

A few broken parts of a vehicle were also found on the spot, he said.
