BJP's West Bengal unit president Dilip Ghosh today said his party workers were taking shelter in neighbouring states following continuous violence allegedly unleashed by the ruling Trinamool Congress.

"The violence witnessed before the panchayat elections has been continuing even after the polls are over in rural Bengal. The Trinamool Congress workers have created an atmosphere of terror and fear," Ghosh told reporters here.

Under this circumstances, he said, BJP workers were moving out of Bengal and taking shelter in adjacent states.

Ghosh said ministers and leaders were openly called for opposition-free West Bengal.

"In my opinion, It is not healthy ln a democracy," he said.

Ghosh has come here to felicitate the party winners in panchayat elections.
