Bengaluru Royals beat Chennai Singhams 7-3 in Premier Futsal

Bengaluru Royals, led by Paul Scholes, defeated Chennai Singhams 7-3 in a league match of Premier Futsal Season 2 here today.

Jonathan da Silva (4th, 8th minute), Petterson Gomes Medeiros (6th, 7th minute), Renzo Grasso (16th), Raducio King (20th) and Jonathan (31st) scored for Bengaluru.

For the Chennai side, Maico Nunes Monteiro (6th minute), Douglas Ferreira (32nd) and Fredsan Marshall (40th) found the target.

The first quarter of the match 12 saw the Scholes-led Bengaluru Royals play aggressively, scoring four goals -- two by Jonathan da Silva and Maderios each.

On the other hand, Chennai could score just one goal through Monteiro.
 

In the second quarter, Bengaluru Royals increased their lead by netting the ball twice, once by Renzo Grasso and the other by Raducio Iwan King.

The third quarter was a tight contest with neither team allowing each other to score. Bengaluru captain Scholes attempted to score a few but missed them by a whisker.

Indian player Jonathan got the support of the entire stadium when he scored a goal in the 31st minute.

The Hernan Crespo-led Chennai Singhams attempted to make up for the lost time towards the last quarter with Ferreira and Marshall scoring one goal each.

However, Bengaluru were way ahead with seven goals by then.
