Bharghav Patel upsets second-seed Gokul Suresh
Qualifier Megh Bharghav K Patel knocked out second-seed Gokul Suresh with a 6-1, 6-2 win Thursday in the men's singles quarterfinals of the Enoah ISolutions AITA tennis tournament, organised by MPTA at KTC courts here.
The Gujarat player proved too good for Suresh, who succumbed without much of a fight after having come through his earlier matches easily.
Top-seed V M Ranjeet, a former Davis Cupper, stormed into the last four, hammering Deepak Senthil Kumar 6-1, 6-1.
The others advancing to the semifinals Mohammed Fahad and qualifier Rishab Dev Raman.
