Members of BJP Mahila Morcha today took out a march in support of their demand to arrest BSP leaders who allegedly used derogatory language against the women members of expelled leader Dayashankar Singh's family.
Chanting slogans 'Beti ke samman mein, BJP maidan mein', the party's women wing members tried to take out a procession from Parivartan Chowk to Raj Bhawan, but were stopped by the police in front of District Magistrate's residence.
BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya condemned the police action against the women workers, saying efforts were made to make the demonstration unsuccessful by stopping buses carrying the workers.

"The manner in which BSP workers led by Naseemuddin Siddiqui used derogatory language against women members of Singh's family would not be tolerated by BJP," he said.
Maurya alleged that no action has been taken against BSP leaders even after filing of an FIR against them.
He demanded immediate arrest of Siddiqui and other BSP leaders.

Later, a delegation led by UP BJP general secretary Anupama Jaiswal met Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and submitted a memorandum demanding arrest of BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui.
BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya also visited trauma centre and met the women wing workers injured in police lathicharge.
Meanwhile, on the BJP women wing activists holding a dharna in support of Singh's family members, BSP supremo Mayawati said it was aimed at diverting people's attention and politicising the issue in its favour.
She termed today's dharna as a "flop show" and reiterated her criticism to the BJP government for the ongoing atrocities on Dalits, other backwards also in the name of cow protection.
