Abdellatif Kechiche, the director of Palme d'Or-winning director of film "Blue Is the Warmest Colour", has been accused of sexual assault.
According to Deadline, an anonymous woman has alleged that the 57-year-old director assaulted her at a dinner party in Paris in June.
Paris' public prosecutor's office has opened an inquiry into the allegation which was brought to them on October 6 by the 29-year-old woman actor.
Kechiche, who is currently shooting the sequel of "Mektoub, my Love: Canto Due", has categorically denied the allegation through his lawyer Jeremy Assous.
In the past, actors Lea Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos, the stars of "Blue Is the Warmest Colour", had criticised the director for the uncomfortable sex scenes in the film.
They had admitted that working with Kechiche was extremely difficult, which led some to question his handling of the sex scenes during production.
