The body of a 27-year-old domestic servant of a farmer was found hanging from a tree at Karodi village in Shamli district.
Madan, a native of West Bengal and working as a servant with farmer Sudhir Kuamr, was missing since four days, police said.
His body was found hanging from a tree at Karodi village under Adarsh Mandi police station area in Shamli district last evening.
We are probing whether the victim killed himself or was being murdered, they said.
In another incident, body of a 25-year-old girl was found in the Ganga canal near Ramraj area here last evening.
We found burn injuries on the body, police said, adding that it appears that the girl was murdered and her body thrown out in the canal.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, they added.
