Body of ASI found on rail track

The body of an Assistant Sub- Inspector (ASI) posted with Government Railway Police here was found on Ambala-Delhi railway track near Ambala Cantt this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Balwan Singh, a resident of Sonepat district, police said.

Balwan had gone to Delhi on official duty on Friday morning.

When he was coming back to Ambala Cantt through train last night, he fell and was run over by another train, police said.

The police have informed the relatives of the deceased about the incident and sent the body to civil hospital for post-mortem, police said.
