After overwhelming response from the audience in Kochi and Bengaluru, the 'Boiled Beans on Toast', a play written by Girish Karnad, is being staged in the city on January 30.
With 1,200 seats in the hall in PSG College of Arts and Science, 10 per cent of the proceeds would be donated for championing the cause of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other related disorders in Children, S Pathy, president, Rotary Club of Coimbatore, said.
A collection of at least Rs.Six lakh to Rs.Seven lakh is expected, he said.

The event is organised by JT Pac, in association with Sobha Coimbatore and Rotary Clubs of Coimbatore, he said.
The play traces the interwoven lives of half a dozen people who have opted to live in Bengaluru, belonging to widely divergent social strata and widely separated geographical corners.
The cast includes Joy Sengupta, Meenal Patel, Deepika Amin, Avantika Akerkar, Swati Das and Divya Unny.
