Two brothers were arrested for allegedly facilitating betting on IPL matches at their residence in Shalibanda area, police said today.
Sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force (South Zone) Team yesterday arrested S Hanuman Das and S Vithal Das and seized Rs 1.40 lakh in cash, five mobile phones and one laptop used in betting.
The duo, both businessmen, were also collecting and distributing cricket betting amounts from the punters from the beginning of IPL cricket matches-2016 and earning easy money illegally, stated a police release.

According to police, the duo allegedly conducted transactions over mobile phone and their daily turnover was Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakh depending on punters.
"Due to loss in business they have indulged in cricket betting with the assistance of one Siri, from Rajasthan," the release added.
