An FIR was today lodged against the brother of a BSP MLA in a case of atrocity against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, police said here today.
Lali Bind, brother of Ramesh Bind, BSP legislator from Majhwan was booked under various sections of the IPC and the SC/ST Act at Dehat kotwali police station here.
According to police, Rajendra of Etwa village had complained on January 14 that Bind has used derogatory language against his daughter and made an attempt to drag her into the agriculture field but fled when she raised an alarm.
Further investigations were handed over to Circle officer, Sadar Shewta Srivastava, they said.
Meanwhile when contacted, BSP MLA said he had nothing to do with the case and if the police feels that his brother has done something wrong he should be arrested.
The MLA has also alleged that some political parties are out to defame him.
