Actor and racer Patrick Dempsey, famous for his role as neurosurgeon Dr Derek Shepherd in TV series 'Grey's Anatomy', said he cannot follow his dream of being a full-time racer while working on the medical-drama.
The 48-year-old actor said that the makers of his popular TV series have been very supportive to help schedule the shooting leaving time for his racing career, reported Contactmusic.
"When I grow up, I want to race full time. Grey's does a remarkable job scheduling around these races now, and I wouldn't be able to do it without them," he said.
"The fact that they continue to let me race is remarkable in itself, so I am grateful for that and grateful to have employment that is known around the world. It gives me a platform to come and do this type of thing, and it helps the sponsors. I'm lucky to have the gig," he added.
