Car bomb explodes in western Kabul: police

A car bomb exploded in western Kabul today, police spokesman Najib Danish said, adding there were no details yet about the target.

The neighbourhood is home to many Shiite Hazaras, a persecuted ethnic minority which was hit hard just a year ago in a strike which killed dozens - in the first attack claimed by the Islamic State group in the heart of Kabul.
