In limited deals, prices of cardamom brown fell by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital today due to easing demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing higher levels amid adequate stocks.

Increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on the cardamom brown prices.

Cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut prices declined by Rs 20 each to conclude at Rs 1,330-1,430 and Rs 1,680-1,730 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks mainly pulled down cardamom prices.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs):

Ajwain (per kg) 150-190, black pepper (per kg) 660-825, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,330-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,680-1,730.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 760-810, cardamom (colour robin) 740-770, cardamom bold 760-780, cardamom extra (bold) 880-930 and cloves 680-780.
