Cardamom prices moved up by 0.22 per cent to Rs 1,470 per kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on rising domestic as well exports demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 1,470 per kg in business turnover of 3 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants, driven by rising domestic as well as exports demand market against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
