Cardamom prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fall in supplies from producing belts amid fresh demand from stockists and local parties.
Otherwise, prices of other spices ruled steady in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Cardamom prices such as chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold rose by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 750-800, Rs 650-670, Rs 670-700 and Rs 870-890 per kg, respectively.

Traders said fall in supplies from producing belts against renewed demand from stockists and local parties, mainly pushed up cardamom prices.
Following are today's quotations:
Ajwain (per kg) 160-200, black pepper (per kg) 785-960, betel-nut (kg) 285-335, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,420-1,450 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,525-1,650.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 750-800, cardamom (colour robin) 650-670, cardamom bold 670-700, cardamom extra (bold) 870-890 and cloves 705-840.
