Catalan ex-minister surrenders to police in Scotland: AFP

Former Catalan minister Clara Ponsati, wanted by Spain for her role in last year's independence bid, surrendered to Scottish police today to face arrest under a European warrant, an AFP reporter witnessed.

She was due to appear in court later today for a preliminary extradition hearing where her lawyers will request that she be granted bail pending a full hearing.
