CBI today conducted surprised checks on Ahmedabad-Delhi Ashram SF Express acting on complaints of corruption against Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs).
During the inspection conducted jointly with CBI's Jaipur unit, six TTEs on the train were checked, according to a statement from a CBI spokesperson from Delhi.
Two of the six TTEs were found having excess amounts of Rs 2,600 and 1,600, while others had small excess amounts, the spokesperson said.
The inspection would have a positive impact in reducing corruption among TTEs, the spokesperson added.
