"The central monitoring committee reviewed the progress of different projects under MPLADS in the state", Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh said.
Delays in providing "utilisation certificates" by the state administration was identified in the meeting as one of the major barriers for total utilisation of funds under the scheme.
Responding to complaints in this regard by many MPs, the state administration has directed its officials to expedite issuing utilisation certificates to avail of further funds under the scheme.
Director of MPLADS under Department of Statistics and Programme Implementation, A K Chowdhury and state's Planning and Development Secretary Jaya Dasgupta were present in the meeting.
